Dr. Evan S. Medeiros on Future of Security and Prosperity in the Asia-Pacific on 17 December 2015

Dr. Evan S. Medeiros’ speech on “The Future of Security and Prosperity in the Asia Pacific,” to be sponsored by the Association of Foreign Relations and moderated by Dr. Samuel S. G. Wu, AFR director and president of Development International Investment Corporation, will take place at Shangri-La Far Eastern Plaza Hotel (2nd floor) on Thursday, 17 December 2015 at 10 a.m.
This will be Dr. Medeiros' very first visit to Taiwan after he stepped down as Senior Director for Asia at the US National Security Council.
Dr. Medeiros, Managing Director and Practice Head for Asia at the Eurasia Group, served as Senior Director for Asia at the US National Security Council (NSC) and President Barack Obama’s top adviser on the Asia-Pacific region across the areas of diplomacy, defense policy, economic policy, and intelligence affairs between July 2013 and June 2015. Previously, he was senior political scientist at RAND Corporation, policy adviser to the special
envoy for China and the U.S.-China Strategic Economic Dialogue (S&ED) at the US Treasury Department, and advisor at the US National Intelligence Council.
