針對台灣加入跨太平洋戰略經濟夥伴協定(TPP)的問題，本會名譽會長前副總統蕭萬長昨天在一場國際研討會上表示，台灣與TPP現有成員國貿易往來密切，在全球經貿體系也占有重要地位，如果TPP將台灣排除在外，將產生貿易轉移(trade diversion)效應，不利TPP成員國。
In response to Taiwan's accession to the Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership (TPP), former Vice-President Honorary President of the Association President Mr. Wu Wanchang said at an international seminar yesterday that Taiwan has close trade relations with existing TPP members and also plays an important role in the global economic and trade system. If Taiwan is excluded from the TPP, it will have a trade diversion effect, which is not conducive to TPP member countries.
