Panel on Taiwan NGOs’ Experience of International Participation

Panel on Taiwan NGOs’ Experience of International Participation, organized by the Association of Foreign Relations (AFR), was held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 10 AM to 11:50 AM at the International Conference Room, Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs, Taipei City. Three notable NGO leaders, a scholar and R.O.C. Foreign Ministry’s deputy chief of NGO International Affairs were invited to comment on the topic and speak about their experiences. 
AFR chairman & former minister of R.O.C. Mainland Affairs Council Amb. Li-yan Hsia delivered opening remarks, and the panel was moderated by AFR vice-chairman & former deputy minister of R.O.C. Foreign Ministry Amb. Bruce J. D. Linghu. Five speakers were Ms. CHI Hui-jung (紀惠容), CEO of the Garden of Hope Foundation; Mr. CHEN Chun-ching (陳純敬), chairman of World Vision Taiwan; Dr. LIU Chi-Chun (劉啟群), chairman of Taiwan Root Medical Peace Corps; Ms. Janet Chang (張秀禎), Deputy Director-General of R.O.C. Foreign Ministry’s department of NGO International Affairs; and Dr. HUANG Kwei-bo, AFR Secretary-General & Associate Dean of National Chengchi University’s College of International Affairs. 
More than 60 new foreign service recruits attended the panel. Other attendees included AFR directors, supervisors and members.
